We are a Denver Area Rowing Club for High School Students.  Mile High Rowing Club was started on February 20, 2009!

Two of our Senior Girls, Maddie Lips and McLane Ritzel have signed on to row with Yale!   We are very proud of them!

We have rowers from Cherry Creek High School, Regis Jesuit, Colorado Academy, Highlands Ranch, Chaparral, Kent, St Mary's, George Washington, Cherokee Trail and Douglas County.  Rowing has become a poplular sport and many colleges have excellent rowing opportunities.

 We have a great coaching staff headed by Grace Malacrida who has over 20 years experience rowing and coaching, and is US Rowing Level III Certified Coach.  Our other coaches include Kati O'Hara, Anne Strobridge, Nikki Stob, Anthony Malacrida and Bob Malacrida.  Among us, we are former college rowers from Rutgers University, Kansas University, Colorado University, and  University of Iowa.  Rowing is our passion and we want to share that with you! 

In the winter we train indoors on Concept 2 ergonomic machines.   In the spring and fall we row on Cherry Creek Reservoir.

We offer some special learn to row and other programs in the summer. Be sure to log on for updates on those programs.

No experience is necessary. If you are a high school student or you know one interested in trying this exciting sport, contact us.

On Sunday February 14, 2010 four Mile High Rowers will compete at the CRASH B's World Indoor Rowing Championships.

We just competed at the Mile High Sprints on January 23, 2010. 

The Mile High Rowers swept the Junior Men's 2k Event; the Junior Women's 2k Event; the Novice Women's 2k Event; won the Junior Lwt Women's 2k Event, Swept the Junior Women's 500m Event; Second in the Junior Lwt Women's 500m, Second and Third in the Junior Men's 500m!  Had 14 Personal Bests!
